Foreword:
These Love Songs to God are in honor and praise to God and the angels, especially to the one that inspires these verses. I praise and thank God for the gift I am given of this inspiration, and for the ability to share these lovely gifts with others. I have given my life to God (use me, God, show me your will). This beauty is one gift given back to me. It's a never- ending cycle of love.
I give thanks and acknowledgement to the Devotional Singers, whose weekly gatherings and devotion also inspired these verses. I give my love and honor to Wendy Grimwood, Mark Grimwood, Gerry Canning, Nirava Seastar, Tom Olmos, and Jim Chow, and the entire community. The verse "There are times I am inspired by your gifts was inspired by the self-expression of Nirava. The verse "You walk in covered in a cloak of God's radiance" was inspired by seeing Wendy Grimwood, especially, and the other devotional singers enter the room to begin our evening of devotion. on this planet earth.

Faith.
As I begin each new day
I pray for faith,

I thank God for our world.
Our guardian angels,

When we are happy, our angels smile,
and thank God for His blessings.
When we hurt and when we cry,
our angels also weep.
Their hearts are tender,
their minds are clear.
They love to guide our ways.
We aren't alone in needing prayer
and faith and thanks to God.
The angels finish their work with us
and then from up above,
they pray for faith,
and pray for love
and guidance from above.
They thank God for their world.
Our angels have great faith in God,
and then there's even more.
They also have faith in us.
We're in their prayers.
They pray for us,
have faith in us,
and then they thank our God.
Our two worlds are really one.
We on Earth are unaware how closely intertwined
is the angel world and our world,
growing upward as one.
The whole universe works on love
and faith and praise to God!
They are not only for us here on Earth!
It's nice to see the good in life,
the sunny side, the silver lining.
But when we see the good around,
we've only done half our job.
The rest of our job is to give praise
and thanks to God who has given it all.
When we focus on the rose rather than the thorn,
the beauty and not the blemish in people and in things, our days are very good.
Our hearts respond to the food of our thoughts,
thoughts color our outlook on life.
When we receive this bounty of life,
the smiles and the love and the food,
the rest of our job is to give praise
and thanks to God who has given it all.
There is great spiritual power
given to us all,
when we remember and put it to use.
In gratitude and joy and appreciation for all,
thanking our friends and God for their gifts.
There is power in thoughts and power in praise,
we need to give thanks for all.
The rest of our job is to give praise
and thanks to God who has given it all.
Let's don't hide our joy, let's say it right out,
it's fine if we even shout!
Just think if the whole world were shouting with joy
and heartfelt words of praise!
Then we'd be living heaven on Earth
until the end of our days.
Thanks is a most powerful prayer.
The more we thank God,
the more appears
in ever increasing amounts.
I'm told that the angels
give thanks every day,
praising God for His love.
When we do something kind,
when we give from our hearts,
the angels praise God for His works.
The angels devotion to God and to us
has them singing His praise
at our progress.
They pray for us to follow right paths.
They have faith in God and in us.
As angels give thanks from above,
we can join them here below.
We can create a heavenly chorus
of angels and God's children
thanking God for His love and His blessings,
and praising Him every day.

and a spiritual body.
When my spirit grows too big
to be encompassed,
I will leave the old temple behind!
It served me well,

On in my body of light!

I've heard there's great beauty and love
And music and art and continuing growth!

I've heard if we knew the beauties beyond,
That we'd find it so hard to be here!
So there is a veil that keeps us content
As the years of our Earth life go by.

When my spirit goes on to those heavenly realms,
I'll travel at the speed of a thought!
Imagine the fun of traveling so fast,
Just think of me, then I'll be there!
There is no death!
Right now I can speak to those who've gone on,
I can speak on the wings of a prayer!
There is no death!
It's nice to know that nothing is lost,
Our mind and light body go on!
The love that we have, the growth that we've done,
All help build our home in the skies.
There is no death!
We only can take what we've given away,
Our love and our care and our gifts.
There is no death!
We'll be welcomed by loved ones and never alone.
Small babies and children get nurture and grow,
They'll be there to welcome us home.
There is no death!
There's even a heaven for our dogs and our cats,
Our mothers were right about that!

There are spirits in heaven who love animals, too,
They care for them 'til we come home.
There is no death!
God is so great! Nothing is lost!
Beauty and love go on!
It only gets better,
We'll all reach His light!

God's love is the strongest force in the universe,
And He's willing to give it to us!

Jesus discovered the joy of God's love
when He was just a child.
He discovered man's soul could transform
with heavenly doses of love.
This was the grand rebestowal to man
who had fallen away from his God.
The promise from God, fulfilled through His Son,
just as the prophesies said.
Jesus was first to ask for God's love
to enter His heart and His soul.
The more that He asked,
the more He received,
and His soul grew closer to God.
So He taught his disciples and folks far and wide
to ask to be filled with God's love.
God's love is the strongest force in the universe,
and He's willing to give it to us!
What a great blessing!
What a great gift!
With no strings attached, it's ours!
Let's follow the path of God's son who He loved,
and sent to show the way.
Let's honor the son and do as he did.
Let's become one with our Father.
To fill up our hearts and transform our souls
all we must do is ask.
Can you believe that anything so easy as asking
can get you such a huge gift?
Where else in life can we receive so much
by only a simple request?
I am in wonder at God's grace and His heart!

John 14:12 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do."
It's hard to imagine any of us doing
as great of works as Jesus did,
and even harder to imagine that we could do greater.
Yet we of little faith,
that was His promise.
Jesus was known far and wide for His healing,
for letting the power and love of God
manifest through Him.
Why have we not done our part?
Why have there not been as great
or greater healers since him?
Yet we of little faith,
do we even try?
When we need healing,
we hold the lock,
and the lock is our faith and belief.
When we ask for healing,
and we ask God to turn
the key of health in our lock,
do we have faith and heal,
or do we cover the lock
with our doubt and our lack of trust?
We can uncover the lock
and trust and have faith,
and let God turn the key.
Then we will see the truth in the words,
the promise given to us.
We can be great, as great as His son,
we are all the children He loves.
Faith is the answer, faith is the key,
we are the ones with the lock.
It is up to us, if we have the faith,
and if we lack faith we can ask God for that!
He wants us to have all that we want,
to get anything we must ask.
So let's ask for more faith,
and ask to be healed,
and then let us trust
and be healed.
There are two forces in the universe.
One is love, and love is from God.
The other force is fear.
Where love is not, is fear.
Love clears our perceptions,
fear distorts them.
When our eyes look up at the love of God,
at what is working in our lives,
at what is right with self and others,
our perceptions are more clear.
The optimistic view, including what is real,
is not so popular.
When our eyes look down at the worst pretended outcome, fear distorts our mind.
Pessimism and a gloomy outlook is a far more
popular style.
Let's revive that sunny outlook,
we have nothing to lose but fear itself.
Like attracts like, a spiritual law,
and our thoughts have the power of attraction.
So let's look at love and positive outcomes,
we'll be helping ourselves and the world.
There are two forces in the universe.
One is love, and love is from God.
The other force is fear.
Let's choose love.

They are all woven together like a garland.
Each one needs the other.

Why were we given speech?
Here is what I think.
You give us voices to express love
and praise and to thank You for our blessings.

When we forget and use our voices
to condemn and criticize,
we're being human,
You'll forgive us, but that is not Your plan.
When we misuse this gift of speech,
then we can ask for Your help.

This is the highest law,
the giving of unconditional love.
As we grow in understanding of God's love,
we must put into action this knowledge and this love.

live in the sunshine of God's love.

build decent homes.

The whales and dolphins and the cetaceans
are our brothers.
They, like us, have souls.
Let's try to make contact right here in our world
with these creatures who also love God.
Let's restore their atmosphere to the crystal clear waters
that is their birthright.

We send our spaceships out in space
hoping to find our brothers.
But closer to home, sharing out world, are other
creatures with souls and intelligence,
wending their way to God's light.

For those who don't love God or love people:
Jesus will hound you, you may not know this.
He's so persistent, He'll eventually win,
you'll have to give in.
Within your closed heart is a seed of God's love,
within your soul is a longing.
He'll hound you with love, He'll hound you with care,
eventually your cold heart will melt.
You'll ask for God's love to fill your heart and your soul,
and Jesus will welcome you home.
With all your transgressions, with all you have done,
He'll see the beauty in your soul.

finding their way to His kingdom.

Yesterday I thought my beliefs were right,
more right than those of yours.
Then I woke up and realized that yours are
variations of the same truth.

all that you hold holy.

Jesus, in spirit so humble, so grand with His love,

There are times I'm inspired by your gifts,
your smile, your eyes, your movements,
your free expression, your songs, your words,
your love.
These gifts are from God, expressed through your soul,
lighting the paths of your brothers.
When I look elsewhere and see my fellow man,
with closed heart and dim eyes looking downward,
I see someone in pain,
whose gifts are yet undiscovered.
I see myself awhile ago, prior to allowing God's love.
I send them my love and support every day,
when I see them my heart is touched.
I know someday their gifts will appear
and brighten the world even more.
We're all unique,
We all have our gifts to light up the paths
of our world.
Our gifts show like beautiful snowflakes,
each different in design.
Others are hidden and dormant,
like flower seeds underground,
waiting for love, like the sunshine and water they need to sprout and burst out in braveness and trust,
and unfurl their blooms in the sun.
Let's give our hurting brothers our love
and know that they'll bloom in their time,
in God's time, as we have.
Things and people are not always as they appear.
This is one of the biggest lessons
we can learn in life.
If we can learn to suspend our criticism and judgement,
that in itself is a great achievement of growth.
It appears that we go through life alone.
But every person on this planet,
and whales and dolphins, too,
have at least three angels with them,
every moment, night and day,
from birth until we make our transition
to the world of spirit.
We have a protector, our guardian angel,
who does his best to keep us safe,
spiritually and physically.
With some of us, that's a challenge!
We each have an angel of joy,
to guide us to find simple pleasures.
We then have our guide who knows why
we came, who tries to inspire us.
This one sends for more teachers from spirit
as we need them,
and we attract even more as our soul grows,
and as we ask to do God's will,
and want to give to others.
Those hunches, those feelings, those dreams,
those thoughts of inspiration,
these are some of the ways they guide us.
Things and people are not always as they appear.
It appears that we go through life alone.
We all have help as close as can be,
not judging us, just loving us
for all the beauty within.
There's a chain of love
that comes down from above.
Our angels serve us
so we can serve others.
Our angels are guided
by those above them,
those closer to the fountainhead of love.
Love comes from on high,
to the angels and us,
and then to all that we serve.
The chain is unending if we do our part,
all in the service of love.
This is a strong chain,
a long chain of beauty,
of hearts that are tender
in service divine.
There's a chain of love
that comes down from above.
Our angels serve us
so we can serve others.
Let's do our part so the chain is unbroken.
The sacred Holy Spirit is always close to you,
waiting for your acceptance of God's love,
in every breath, each time you inhale
the sacred breath of life.
God is everywhere, in everything.
His Holy Spirit, the Comforter,
is in the sacred breath of life.
Breathe in the love of God,
breathe out all that is not,
let all negativity go down into
Mother Earth's loving embrace.
This will heal both you and Mother Earth
as she transmutes your negative
into something good for the earth.
Feel the sacred breath of life.
As you breathe in, and as you breathe out,
breathe yourself into God's silence.
In the silence you'll breathe in the Presence,
and heaven and earth will merge
with the sacred breath of life.
I've heard that our earth life
is like being in the womb,
a fetal preparation for our eternal life
in the world of spirit.
Then when we make our transition,
what we on earth consider our death,
is a grand birth into our life
in the spirit world of God,
celebrated by our loved ones who have gone before,
with rejoicing from our angels, protectors, and guides. After all, we're the children of God.
I've heard that our earth life is an illusion,
and life in the spirit world the reality.
The children's poem, "Row, row, row your boat"
alludes to this.
We have been given hints and advice
from the spirit world of God
since childhood.
"Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream,
merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
life is but a dream."
So let's make the best of this fetal stage.
Let's treat the infant of God that we are with respect. Let's care for our body and care for our soul,
after all, we're the children of God.
Let's try to develop the best that we can.
Let's give the purest of foods to our body and mind,
and the purest of food to our soul,
after all, we're the children of God.
Let's listen for love and spiritual growth,
and leave lesser things behind.
We don't need the struggle, the drama, the strife.
Let's look to God for our news.
After all, we're the children of God.
Let's be open to good news from spirit
and friends here on earth.
Let's be open to all that is pure.
Let's raise up our arms to our Father above,
and ask Him to lift us in Love.

What is religion, many have asked?
Man has complicated this question.
Religion is service.
If you wish to be religious,
if you wish to be spiritual,
serve God's children.
If you bring a smile to the face
of one of God's children,
if you bring hope to another,
if you share your bounty, your food, your love,
you are being religious.
God's angels are religious,
they love and praise God,
and offer every soul on earth their loving devotion.
Let's join the angels in their work
to help all of God's children,
and our little brothers, the animals,
and our beautiful planet, this earth.

It is not enough to build great buildings to honor You, when some of Your children lack a home.
It is not enough to feed people's souls,

We must help not only the soul,
but the body through which the soul functions.
Instead of building a brand new building,
let us build a shelter for Your children.
If all the churches sheltered the needy,
soon there would be no hungry souls
and starving bodies.
There are plenty of churches.
We can even let people sleep on the pews,
and escape from the rigors of nature.
