The red line shows where we exited the canyon onto the flat (Hapaha as it turned out).  We followed the watercourse that runs to the viewer's left.  Had we gone to the right and basically around the great hulking mountain beginning to show there we would have arrived at the correct place.    Just after we had cleared the canyon's mouth a pair of Navy training jets burst out of it (to our great surprise) and arrowed across the flat at about 75feet off the ground before disappearing to the east.  Hoo-Hoo!
