As we began, storm clouds gathered over our eventual destination.

Cactus Flowers on the approach, the deserts' really blooming.

Another of the madly blooming wildflowers (or..Killer Bee Rest Stops).

We encounter our first obstacle. A locked gate at tunnel 1.

We study the gate at tunnel 1, Trail around it is up to the right.

Other side of tunnel 1, tunnel 2 in distance.

Approaching tunnel 2, gate barely visible at far end.

This is where the hall of the mountain king would be.

Steve, Alli, Gree and Raina Dog under shelter to right of third tunnel.

Apricot Newtons, Oreos and Water. Yum!

Proverbial Light at end of tunnel (is it a gorilla with a flashlight?).

As we exit tunnel three we catch first sight of the Corrizo Gorge proper.

Apple in lead as we enter the gorge (barely visible through the rain).
